Day 12

Kathy and Luis head back home today.

We went to Sorrentos on the Beach for breakfast – the food was great!  My omelet could have fed all four of us.  The restaurant was in a beautiful spot – looking out on Kamaeole III Beach.

After dropping Kathy and Luis off at the airport, we stopped at Paia to get a boxed lunch and headed off to the Garden of Eden for the afternoon and have lunch there. It’s a beautiful place, very peaceful. The drive to get there is halfway to Hana so it is now known as the Halfway To Hana Drive, and we survived it! Even with the crazy local drivers, we managed to get there in one piece.

We stopped at Ho’okipa Beach on the way back to watch the surfers and Stand Up Paddle Boarders who were brave enough to tackle the swells with their standup boards.

We are still looking for a necklace for Nancy, so shopped at a few more of the crafty type places, then had dinner later that evening at Stella Blues.
