A Day of R&R

Today was a no-plans, relax day.  Up at 7 and at Wailea Beach by 8:45.  What an amazing morning.  The sand on the beach is so soft that it’s more like powder, not grainy like sand.  The water is warm and the sound of the waves – well, that is now my favourite sound in the world.  We sat back on the beach chairs, occasionally going into the ocean.  Watched kids playing, and people stand-up boarding.  We spent 2.5 hours on the beach.  It was getting awfully hot – I swear I could hear my skin sizzle!!!

I LOVE the ocean.  I LOVE the sound of the waves.  I could have fallen asleep on the beach in an instant.  I brought my Ipod, but how could a person possibly want to drown out the sound of the waves?  That would be crazy!!!  Uh yeah, I did get sunburned!!!

Totally Relaxed

Would you say he’s relaxed?  lol

Afternoon

We drove into Kihei and had lunch at Stella Blues.  Food was good.  But the sun had caught up with me.  I had definitely had too nuch of it in the morning, and that, combined with not drinking any water, made me sick.  I napped for a couple of hours and felt much better.

Around 3:30, we walked down to the Shops at Wailea, to Tommy Bahamas for Happy Hour. We each had a couple of drinks, and I discovered that I don’t much care for mojitos, but do like the mai tais!!! They were pricey, though – Happy hour cocktail prices were $7 each!!!   Or maybe it’s just been that many years since I’ve hit a happy hour!

We left Tommy Bahamas feeling pretty tipsy, and wandered around the shops a bit.  Back to the condo by dark.

Another beautiful day in Paradise!!!
