Our first full day – we were up before 5:30.  Once it got light out, we ate breakfast on the lanai, got ready and started walking down to the beach…  It’s so beautiful outside and the beach is something else.  The sand is softer than anything either of us have ever walked in.  The sound of the ocean is mesmerizing.  Before we knew it, 2 hours had passed.  It seemed more like 10 minutes.

he view from the lanai is absolutely beautiful.  It’s so quiet and peaceful here. Have I said before that this place is amazing?  These are the view from the lanai:

 

The Stereotypical Tourist

We stopped at Whalers General Store in the Shops at Wailea and at Hilo Hattie’s in Kihei for some souvenir shopping. Steve is loving the Hawaiian shirts and, as evidencedin these pictures, is quickly morphing into a tacky tourist, with his gaudy shirts and his straw hat with a bright gaudy thing around the brim.  But he’s loving it!!!

Sunset!!!

Back to the condo to watch the football game (and we were tired).  The first picture was of Molokini Crater, which is where we will be going snorkelling tomorrow.  The others are pictures from the lanai, before and during the sunset.  Our first sunset in Maui. And it was beautiful!!!
